Generative Medicine (GM) recognizes human diversity and individuality, and aims to identify the body’s own self-healing processes. GM uses the tools of systems biology and bioinformatics to discern the complex behaviors seen in both health and disease. This approach translates easily obtainable patient data into a form that can allow for safer and more individualized treatments of sickness and the enhancement and optimization of health and well-being.
Course Description: Personalized Nutrition Advisor
The PNA is the foundation training program based on the principles of generative medicine. PNA students will be able to participate in the generative strategies which aim to predict and prevent disorder and disease through advanced concepts in nutrigenomics. The program is designed to appeal to both the beginner and the advanced student of health and nutrition. The completion of the PNA is one of the pathways to the Advanced Equivalency and Concepts in Generative Medicine modules.
The program is a product of thirty years of research by Dr. Peter D’Adamo, culminating in the subject of Generative Medicine (GM). A fundamental precept of GM is that the ‘Vis Medicatrix Naturae’, or Life Force, is computationally understandable, teachable, and employable in real-time by studying the true diversity of human nature and its interaction with the environment.
Over the course of study, PNA program students will learn specific ways to identify and measure bioindividuality, how genes and nutrients uniquely communicate, and to proficiently utilize the custom-built personalized diet and lifestyle tool SWAMI GenoType III Pro.
Demonstration of proficiency in the academic course material grants access to the administrative interface of Traktion, a comprehensive patient compliance tracking tool. Students will be introduced to open-source software Quodlibet and Fuzzy Duck, which they will be able to use in their practice as a personalized nutrition advisor.
PREREQUISITES for the PNA Course are membership of the ICGM, proof of training in science and math, or completion of the ICGM Basic Equivalency Program or MIfHI certification (Master of the Institute for Human Individuality). If you have shown proof of the prerequisites in prior science and math training and if you have completed the ICGM Basic Equivalency or hold a MIfHI certification, or if you are currently a licensed practitioner from the list of recognized practitioners you can purchase access to the PNA here. Those with prior coaching qualifications recognized by the ICGM are not required to take the coaching part of the PNA course.
Most of the course is taken online, involving home study and online exams. Students can purchase additional one-to-one tutorials in certain subjects with tutors if required. Students without coaching qualifications are required to complete the coaching course, which takes place by weekly teleconference over a set period. A practical assessment weekend is scheduled at the Center of Excellence in Generative Medicine, University of Bridgeport, CT, USA.
